1. Voluntary Participation
I voluntarily choose to participate in, attend, exhibit at, volunteer for, or otherwise take part in the Demo Summer Classic held on [EVENT DATE] at [EVENT LOCATION], referred to in this document as the “Event.”
I understand that my participation is optional and that I may decline to participate or leave the Event at any time.
2. Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk
I understand that car shows and related activities may involve risks, including:
- Moving or parked motor vehicles
- Vehicle loading, unloading, staging, and parking
- Hot engines, exhaust systems, fluids, batteries, and mechanical components
- Uneven pavement, grass, curbs, cables, tents, displays, and temporary structures
- Weather conditions, heat exposure, noise, crowds, food service, and vendor activities
- Accidents, collisions, falls, property damage, bodily injury, illness, disability, or death
- The actions or omissions of participants, spectators, vendors, volunteers, staff members, or other third parties
I knowingly and voluntarily accept all risks associated with my participation in or attendance at the Event, whether those risks are known, unknown, anticipated, or unanticipated.
3. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I release and discharge the following parties from claims arising from or connected with my participation in or attendance at the Event:
- Demo Summer Classic
- Car Show HQ
- [EVENT ORGANIZER LEGAL NAME]
- The property owner and venue operator
- Event sponsors, vendors, contractors, judges, volunteers, employees, representatives, officers, directors, affiliates, and agents
This release includes claims involving personal injury, illness, death, property loss, vehicle damage, theft, or other damages, except to the extent that a claim cannot legally be waived.
4. Vehicle Responsibility
If I bring a vehicle onto the Event property, I confirm that:
- I own the vehicle or have the owner’s permission to display and operate it.
- The vehicle is properly insured and legally permitted to be operated as required by applicable law.
- I am solely responsible for the vehicle, its contents, and any damage caused by its operation, condition, display, or movement.
- I will operate the vehicle slowly and safely and follow all instructions from Event personnel.
- I will not perform burnouts, racing, drifting, excessive revving, reckless driving, or other unsafe activity.
- I will promptly report any leak, fire, mechanical failure, collision, injury, or hazardous condition.
- I understand that Event staff may refuse entry or require removal of any vehicle considered unsafe, disruptive, or inconsistent with Event rules.
5. Property Loss and Damage
I understand that the Event organizers do not guarantee the security of vehicles, trailers, equipment, merchandise, personal belongings, or other property.
I accept responsibility for securing my property and understand that the Released Parties are not responsible for theft, vandalism, weather damage, accidental damage, or loss, except where responsibility cannot legally be waived.
6. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:
- My actions or omissions
- My vehicle, display, equipment, products, guests, employees, or representatives
- My violation of Event rules
- Damage or injury caused by me or anyone participating under my registration
7. Medical Treatment
If I experience a medical emergency and cannot provide consent, I authorize Event personnel to contact emergency services and provide reasonable assistance until professional care is available.
I understand that I am responsible for any medical, ambulance, transportation, or treatment expenses incurred on my behalf.
8. Photography and Media Release
I authorize the Event organizers and their representatives to photograph, record, livestream, or otherwise capture my image, voice, vehicle, display, and participation at the Event.
I grant permission for these materials to be used for lawful promotional, editorial, advertising, archival, social media, and commercial purposes without additional approval or compensation.
Optional opt-out:
☐ I do not consent to identifiable promotional photography and understand that incidental appearance in crowd or background footage may still occur.
9. Event Rules and Removal
I agree to comply with all Event rules, venue requirements, safety instructions, parking directions, and decisions made by Event personnel.
I understand that I may be denied entry or removed from the Event without a refund for unsafe conduct, harassment, intoxication, reckless driving, disruption, misrepresentation, or failure to follow instructions.
10. Weather, Cancellation, and Schedule Changes
I understand that Event activities, judging classes, schedules, parking arrangements, awards, vendors, entertainment, and other features may be modified, postponed, relocated, or canceled because of weather, safety concerns, emergencies, low participation, government restrictions, or circumstances beyond the organizers’ control.
Registration and refund policies are governed by the Event’s published terms.
11. Governing Law and Severability
This agreement will be interpreted under the laws of [STATE].
If any part of this agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Confirmation
By signing below, I confirm that:
- I have read and understand this agreement.
- I have had the opportunity to ask questions.
- I am signing voluntarily.
- I understand that I may be giving up certain legal rights.
- The information I provided is accurate.
- I am at least 18 years old or my parent or legal guardian has signed below.
